Master on Yacht <200GT 150Nm, Licence, issued by Transport Malta
in cooperation with Maritime MT
Duration of studies three (3) weeks, in Athens, Greece
This course aims to give candidates the essential knowledge and training to skipper a yacht less than 200GT and limited up to 150Nm from a safe haven on the following modules
1. Offshore Navigation
2. Maritime Law
3. Instruments
4. Meteorology
5. Rules of the Road
6. Seamanship & GSK
7. Signals & Voice Procedures
8. Introduction to MARPOL
9. Engineering
10. Practical Boat Handling & Maneuvering
- Min 18 years old
- Hold a valid Seafarers Medical Fitness Certificate (IMO/ILO)
- Hold an Officially Recognized Licence to skipper a Vessel for at least two years
- Have documentary evidence of 2500Nm logged approved seagoing service, 100 hours of which must be carried out during night-time
- Course Completion Certificate by MARITIME MT
- Hold a valid STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate
- Hold a valid VHF-SRC or GMDSS ROC or GMDSS GOC
